Details
Flowing River Sangha (FRS) is a welcoming, inclusive, Interfaith Community rooted in the White Plum Lineage and founded more than 28 years ago by Sr. Barbara Craig.
Together, we sit in silent meditation (zazen), with compassion and the support of one another. We focus on breath and body to anchor into stillness and learn by experience.
Our practice format includes bows, chants, silent sit (zazen), walking meditation (kinhin) and encouraging words. Practice has also led to compassion in action opportunities in our community serving the unhoused, the hungry and children. We also offer more intense meditation opportunities such as Zazenkai (all day silent sitting) and Shessin (3-day silent retreat) opportunities.
We'd love to welcome you. So, if you are new to Zen, please arrive 20 minutes early for your first visit whether online or in person. We can introduce you to the practice and our community. Please visit our website flowingriversangha.com to learn more and to join us online.
