Details
Join us on Saturday, November 11 between noon and 2 p.m. as we explore the science behind photography. Come make your own hand-held camera obscura and photograms!
The camera obscura is the ancestor of the modern-day camera. With this simple device, you can see how light bends and can create images.
Photograms were created by field scientists using cyanotypes to capture the likeness of different specimens like types of plants! These distinctive blue prints are one of the oldest photographic printing processes in the history of photography.
This event is open to all ages – no experience is required!
Don’t forget to join us for storytime with the Osterhout Free Library at 1 p.m.!
