The Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club (RROC), one of the most prestigious and respected automobile organizations in America, will celebrate its 75th Anniversary with a historic return to Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, where the club was founded in 1951.
The anniversary celebration will reclaim and honor an important chapter in both automotive and local history. The six founding members of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club were attending the world-famous Giant’s Despair Hillclimb in 1951 when they established what would become an internationally recognized organization dedicated to the preservation and enjoyment of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motorcars.
The anniversary festivities will begin with a press conference at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at the historic Hotel Redington, and Genetti’s, located at 77 East Market Street, Wilkes-Barre. Members of the RROC administration, club leadership, and enthusiasts from across the country will be in attendance.
Representatives and members of the Giant’s Despair Hillclimb organization will also participate in the event, accompanied by several historic and contemporary race cars from this year’s competition, highlighting the connection between the legendary hillclimb and the founding of the Rolls-Royce Owners’ Club.
Following the press conference, a special Rolls-Royce and Bentley Motorcar Exhibition will take place at 2:00 PM at 105 North Main Street, Wilkes-Barre. The public will have the opportunity to view an exceptional collection of some of the world’s most elegant and celebrated automobiles. Giant’s Despair will showcase some of their race cars.
