The historic tradition of mariachi music has its roots in cities such as Guadalajara and Mexico City. As the ever-evolving genre’s influence spread, it reached Chicago and birthed the Mariachi Herencia de México. The energetic, virtuosic Latin Grammy-nominated group has issued chart-topping albums and performed across the North American continent.

Free by reservation only. Recommended for students in grades K-5. Call the F.M. Kirby Center box office at 570-826-1100 for more information. This is a ticketed performance at 7 p.m. Dec. 1. Admission for this performance is only $10 and is open to the public.
