Gaslight Theatre Company presents Sunday in the Park with George. Inspired by Georges Seurat’s iconic painting, this Pulitzer Prize winning and Tony Award® winning musical by Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine explores the tension between love, legacy, and the cost of creating art.
As painter Georges Seurat obsesses over his masterpiece, his relationship with his lover Dot begins to fade. A century later, his descendant—also an artist—searches for meaning in a world that feels disconnected.
There will be six performances of Sunday in the Park with George performed at the George P. Maffei II Theatre at King’s College:
