Wilkes-Barre City Mayor George C. Brown announced that Dire Straits Legacy will be the headline performer for the City of Wilkes-Barre’s 4th free Summer Concert on Public Square, on Friday, August 14th. The evening will begin with a to-be-announced local performer at 7 PM. Dire Straits Legacy will take the stage at 8 PM.
Dire Straits Legacy is not a cover band, they are four extraordinary musicians who performed, recorded, and toured with Dire Straits, playing the music of Dire Straits, right here on Public Square, in Downtown Wilkes-Barre. For more information about the band, please visit their website.
The public is welcome to bring their own chairs and blankets to Public Square or even enjoy the concert while dining outdoors at one of our wonderful downtown restaurants. Food vendors will be available on Public Square, in addition to the numerous downtown dining options.
