Wilkes-Barré Preservation Society will host a reception/fundraiser in honor of the 295th birthday of Col. Zebulon Butler on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Wilkes University’s Weckesser Hall, 170 South Franklin Street, Wilkes-Barré.
$50 per person, $100 includes patron membership in the Preservation Society. Also, kick-off America’s 250th celebration. Cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. Proceeds benefit the restoration of the Zebulon Butler House, the oldest house in Wilkes-Barré.
Parking is available at Wilkes’s garage at 140 South Main Street.
