Saturday, Sept 23 from 12–3 PM: Cartooning Workshop with Kevin O’Neill*
FREE– for ages 7–10

As a comic artist and illustrator, Rose O’Neill was a storyteller. The Kewpies, Sweet Monsters, and her many illustrations for magazines and personal works, lead the viewer on a journey through the page with each character’s actions.

Join the Sordoni Art Gallery on Saturday, Sept. 23 from noon to 3 p.m. for this special Art in Your Hands: Kid’s Edition. Kevin O’Neill will lead the creation of a dinosaur mural while teaching the basics of illustration. This workshop is for children ages 7 to 10. A snack will be provided.

Kevin is an artist, illustrator, graphic designer and teacher who works in traditional and digital media. A staff artist for the Scranton Times-Tribune, he creates award-winning editorial illustration, graphic design and web content. He also teaches graphic design and illustration at the college level and does freelance work including creating courtroom graphics.
