After a number of encounters between Anora Mikheeva (Mikey Madison) and Ivan Zakharov (Mark Eydelshteyn), Ivan proposes marriage. His parents—Russian oligarchs who expect Ivan to return home and run the family business—attempt to disrupt the union. “Anora” received the Palme d’Or when it debuted at the 77th Cannes Film Festival and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Picture.
