Wilkes University and King’s College are collaborating to host the 15th annual 2026 Women’s and Gender Studies Conference on March 30 and 31, in the Henry Student Center on the Wilkes University campus.

The theme of this year’s conference is “Gender and Citizenship: Past, Present, and Future.” In recognition of the semiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution, this year’s conference invites papers exploring what it means to be revolutionary, the evolving concept of citizenship, women’s roles in shaping history, and the purpose of education, especially women’s education, in fostering personal empowerment, civic responsibility and social change.

Community members and King's College and Wilkes University students and faculty will present their research from 9:30 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sessions for this year’s conference include research presentations, panel discussions and creative writing readings. The conference is free and open to the public. A full session schedule, including room locations, can be found at wilkes.edu/wgs.
