We hope you will join us on Thursday, May 9th at 5:30 PM at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Luzerne County Historical Society’s 166th Annual Dinner. This year’s theme is “100 Years of Kirby Park”.

In 1924, the 106-acre Kirby Park opened. Created by a donation from Fred M. Kirby, and designed by the famous John Charles Olmsted (and then later Frederick Law Olmsted Jr, after John’s death), the park has been a staple in the city of Wilkes-Barre for a century. The evening will be hosted by WNEP-TV's Chelsea Strub, and will feature remarks by Wilkes-Barre Mayor George Brown on the Park’s impact to the city.

Tickets are $110 for LCHS Members and $135 for nonmembers. Cocktails start at 5:30pm, with dinner at 6:45pm and the program beginning at 7:00pm. For more information call 570-823-6244 ext. 3 or email reservations@luzernehistory.org.
